Exhibitions

Members occasionally take part in exhibitions showing their paintings.  These may be in exhibitions dedicated to Chinese Brush Painting or may be within general art exhibitions.

Lotherton Hall

We were pleased to have been asked to put on another exhibition at Lotherton Hall from 21 March to 23 June 2013.  There were some 30+ paintings on show and 7 sold in difficult economic times  For details about Lotherton Hall's opening times to see other exhibitions, visit Lotherton Hall

From Tuesday 2 March to the end of June 2010, we exhibited 64 paintings at Lotherton Hall where 22 sold in what the curator said was one of the most successful exhibitions in terms of sales.  Lotherton Hall was celebrating the "Year of the Bird" and our exhibition followed this theme.

From 4 October to the end of December 2007, the Group displayed 64 paintings at Lotherton Hall during a most successful exhibition.  For photographs of the paintings on display, pleased see the exhibition section under the gallery on the menu.

Holmfirth Artweek in aid of Macmillan Cancer Relief

For the last 6 years several members of the CBP group have individually shown their paintings at this exhibition in Holmfirth Civic Hall.  Anne Allan has demonstrated Chinese Brush Painting within the demonstration area and attracted many spectators and, hopefully, a lot of new members.

St Gemma's Hospice

In the past some members of the Group have exhibited their Chinese Brush Paintings in this Annual Art Exhibition, held at Leeds Grammar School.  This was organised in memory of Deirdre Williamson who died there in 2006.  Deirdre was the inspiration to many members of the Group and was their teacher and friend.

The exhibition used to be held in June but from 2008 it has been held in late October/November.  Applications for entry are available on the website:   www.st-gemma.co.uk/exhibition.

You can see photographs of our paintings from a past exhibition in the gallery section of our website.
