Long Long Way This depicts a pathway (slanted brush stroke) to illustrate "going up and down". The calligraphy on the small white piece of paper is translated as "Have a style of one's own." The paper in the background is made using the Lokta plant which grows in Eastern Nepal at an altitude of 10,000 feet. The darker brown paper (I don't know what type it is) is very course and fibrous. The two smaller pieces are samples of Japanese paper I bought last year in Lunenburg Nova Scotia. "There is a long, long way ahead. I am going up and down to explore"
